Algeria will close its airspace to all civilian and military aircraft registered in the United Arab Emirates starting at midnight on September 11, the Algerian Ministry of National Defense said.
Axar.az reports, citing the Ministry's X account, that the ministry said the decision follows Algeria’s severing of diplomatic relations with the UAE.
However, UAE commercial passenger flights operating to and from Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers will be exempt from the measure until the end of 2026, when the existing contract expires.
