5,000-capacity mosque opens in Grozny, Chechnya

In Grozny, a mosque named after Jesus, with a capacity of 5,000 people, was ceremoniously opened on the 73rd anniversary of the birth of the first President of the Chechen Republic, Akhmad-Haji Kadyrov.

Axar.az reports that "RIA Novosti" provided this information.

According to the report, worshippers, along with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and religious leaders, performed the first collective Friday prayer at the mosque.

The facade of the religious complex is decorated with granite, and the exterior design resembles the style of the "Pride of Muslims" mosque named after Prophet Muhammad in the city of Shali.
