In accordance with the 2025 training plan approved by Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, swearing-in ceremonies for new conscripts were held across the Azerbaijani Army on May 10.
The events commenced with the ceremonial presentation of the battle flag on the parade ground, marking the official opening of the ceremonies, Caliber.Az reports citing the Ministry of Defence.
Participants observed a minute’s silence in honour of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who laid down their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the country. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.
The new recruits solemnly took their military oath, pledging allegiance to the motherland. Officials from the Ministry of Defence and unit commanders addressed the ceremonies, congratulating the conscripts on this significant occasion.
They urged them to remain loyal to the motherland and the state, to the supreme commander-in-chief, and to serve with distinction by executing all orders and directives from their commanding officers promptly and dutifully.
The ceremonies concluded with a ceremonial march of the servicemen past the tribunes.
