The newly appointed French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sophie Lagoutte, is scheduled to arrive in Baku tomorrow, September 16, the French Embassy in Azerbaijan has said, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The ambassador will officially assume her duties after presenting copies of her credentials to the Azerbaijani foreign minister.
Her predecessor, Anne Boiron, left Baku on September 1 following the completion of her diplomatic mission.
Sophie Lagoutte was officially appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan on August 18, 2025, by the French government.
