The death toll from Israeli strikes on Iranian territory has risen to 935, as announced by Asghar Jahangir, spokesperson for Iran’s judiciary.
Nearly 1,000 people have died as a result of attacks carried out by Israel in coordination with the United States, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
“Due to attacks by Israel along with the US, nearly 1,000 people have died in Iran. According to the latest forensic data, 935 victims have been recorded,” Jahangir said.
Of the total casualties, 38 were children and 102 were women, he added.
This figure aligns with earlier reports from Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), which noted over 900 deaths by June 24, 2025, including 417 civilians, and the Iranian Health Ministry’s claim of over 4,000 wounded.
The strikes, which began on June 13, were part of Israel’s military campaign, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion,” aimed at degrading Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missile capabilities, and military leadership. The operation involved over 200 Israeli fighter jets targeting key sites, including the Natanz nuclear facility, military bases in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, Arak, and Kermanshah, and the notorious Evin prison in Tehran.
