The United States needs to periodically conduct nuclear weapons tests, Vice President J.D. Vance told reporters at the White House on Thursday, APA reports.
"We have a large arsenal. Obviously, the Russians have a large nuclear arsenal. The Chinese do too. Sometimes you need to conduct tests to make sure it's functioning and working properly," he said.
At the same time, the American vice president did not specify whether the United States plans to resume conducting nuclear explosions during tests.
