Clashes between fans of Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano broke out in central Leipzig on Tuesday night ahead of the UEFA Conference League final, with police reporting hundreds of supporters involved in disorder.

Axar.az reports, citing Spiegel, that around 300 Rayo Vallecano fans encountered Crystal Palace supporters near a bar in the city centre, where the situation escalated into verbal and physical confrontations.

Objects, including bottles, beer glasses, and pub furniture, were thrown during the disturbances, prompting a large police response.

Officers intervened to separate the groups and carried out identity checks on more than 300 fans. Around 60 Crystal Palace supporters were ordered to leave the area as “known troublemakers,” while two people were arrested. Several minor injuries were reported, including to police officers.

Authorities said the operation concluded overnight, while most fans in the city continued to celebrate peacefully ahead of the final.
