Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan has said that in parliamentary systems, political forces are legally allowed to nominate candidates for a third or even fourth term.
Axar.az reports that Simonyan expressed hope that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan would once again run as the candidate of the Civil Contract Party in 2031.
“I hope that in 2031 Nikol Pashinyan will again be nominated by the Civil Contract Party,” he said.
Simonyan also noted that the ruling party is prepared to move into opposition if it loses the elections.
