A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck northern parts of Iran’s Ardabil province this morning.
Axar.az reports that the Institute of Geophysics at the University of Tehran said the earthquake occurred at 03:09 local time at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The epicenter was reported to be in the Mughan region.
The earthquake was felt in some areas of northwestern Iran, including northern Ardabil province.
No information has yet been reported on possible damage or casualties resulting from the earthquake.
It should be noted that an earthquake was also recorded in the Shamakhi area of Azerbaijan today.
