Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi during a visit to Tehran on Monday.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Lavrov is discussing steps to de-escalate tensions in the Persian Gulf with his Iranian counterpart.
“Another important topic of the talks will be practical measures to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Tehran,” the report said.
