Baku, October 23, AZERTAC

“According to the information obtained, all three of Azerbaijani citizens who were among the 13-member crew of the foreign cargo vessel named "KHORYV," which came under drone attacks near the Romanian coast, have been rescued,” Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson for Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in response to a local media inquiry regarding the striking of the vessel with Azerbaijani citizens on board near the Romanian coast.

He mentioned that Rufan Khalig oglu Ahmadov, born in 1992, who sustained minor injuries, underwent a medical examination and was placed in a hotel.

“In this regard, joint coordination work is being conducted with our country's Embassy in Romania and relevant competent authorities. Necessary measures are underway to provide consular support to our citizens. We once again urge Azerbaijani citizens to refrain from traveling to areas where military operations are ongoing or where the security situation remains unstable, engaging in employment activities in such areas, or working on means of transport operating along these routes, particularly on vessels in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov waters,” Hajizada emphasized.
