Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva released information about mine explosions in Tartar and Aghdam.
Axar.az was informed about this by the Office of the Ombudsman.
"The mines buried in our lands by Armenia during the thirty-year occupation continue to pose a threat to people's lives and health. As a result of the next mine attack, four civilians were injured.
In total, 350 people have been injured by landmines since the Second Karabakh War.
"The international community should not be silent about Armenia's mine terrorism, it should put serious pressure on this country to submit accurate mine maps to Azerbaijan," the information said.
It should be noted that on April 2, 2024, a mine incident occurred in the territory of Chaily village of Tartar region.
Polad Alish oghlu Ismayilov, born in 1969, Arzuman Ahliman oghlu Taghizadeh, born in 1992, and Elmir Elnur oghlu Bagirov, born in 2006, were injured as a result of a mine explosion that occurred while they were grazing animals on the former contact line, in an area not cleared of mines.
Besides, Khayyam Gambar oglu Aliyev, born in 1987, an employee of the Mine Clearance Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), who was carrying out demining work in the territory of Saricali village of Agdam region, which was freed from occupation, was injured as a result of a mine explosion.
