United Nation's representative to Azerbaijan has stressed that the resolution of global issues requires the continuation of multilateral dialogue, including on all available platforms.
Vladanka Andreeva, UN Resident Coordinator made this statement while speaking at a function dedicated to the upcoming Global Baku Forum, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
"Today, the world is different. Amid constantly changing global geopolitics, we must adhere to the principles that unite us all: solidarity, humanity, and respect for international law," she said.
Andreeva has emphasized that she has been in Azerbaijan for almost four years already and expressed her appreciation for the Baku Forum, an annual international conference that aims to tackle global challenges by providing a platform for lively discussions.
"A number of senior officials and heads of UN agencies will once again join us this March. I want to reiterate the importance of such platforms, as reflected in the event's program. In the current situation, we can turn crisis into opportunity," she added.
The 12th Global Baku Forum is set to take place from March 13 to 15 this year. The event is overseen by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) and invites heads of states and governments to discuss contemporary issues facing world stability and progress, as well as religious leaders, representatives from the private sector, sciences and civil society.
