Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Samir Sharifov, met with Spain’s Secretary of State for Trade, María Amparo López Senovilla, to discuss expanding economic cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting emphasized the significance of the first-ever Strategic Economic Dialogue between Azerbaijan and Spain, set to take place in Baku. Both sides expressed confidence that the Azerbaijan-Spain Business Forum and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Economic Cooperation would help deepen trade and investment ties.
Sharifov also highlighted last November’s meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during COP29, noting its role in strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
