Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has visited Azerbaijan, APA’s Moscow bureau reports citing the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church.
It was noted that on May 4, the Patriarch will lead a liturgy at the Holy Myrrhbearers Cathedral in Baku.
At the airport, he was welcomed by Bishop Alexy (Smirnov) of Baku and Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov, and Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Religious Associations Sahib Naghiyev.
