Azerbaijani PM meets with Syrian interim president in Damascus

President of Syria's transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has welcomed an Azerbaijani delegation visiting the country, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov.

The meeting took place at the presidential residence in Damascus, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed.

The members of the delegation also held a meeting with Syria's Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar.
