Azerbaijan participates in 10th High-Level Caspian Working Group meeting in Moscow

Azerbaijan took part in the 10th meeting of the High-Level Working Group on the Caspian Sea affairs, held in Moscow from May 5 to 7, 2025.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov and joined counterparts from Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The meeting was chaired by the head of the Russian delegation, Mikhail Petrakov.

Participants discussed technical approaches to the establishment of straight baselines in the Caspian Sea and reviewed ongoing cooperation in the region. Preparations for an upcoming meeting of foreign ministers were also on the agenda.

Delegates welcomed the outcome of the talks and expressed appreciation to the Russian Federation for its organisation of the event.

The next session of the Working Group is scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan, with the date to be finalised through diplomatic channels.
