The military says nine soldiers were wounded due to exploding ordinance at a base yesterday in southern Israel, APA reports citing Times of Israel.

An IDF statement says two soldiers were seriously wounded, another two were moderately hurt and the other five were lightly injured. They were all taken to the hospitals for treatment.

The statement adds that the IDF is investigating the blast.
