Azerbaijani FIFA referees Aliyar Aghayev and Elchin Masiyev have been appointed to officiate UEFA Europa League league-phase matches in the fourth round.
Axar.az reports, citing UEFA’s official website, that Aghayev will referee the match between Spanish side Celta Vigo and Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise, which will be played in Spain.
The 39-year-old referee will be assisted by Zeynal Zeynalov and Akif Amirali, while Rauf Jabarov will serve as the fourth official.
Meanwhile, Masiyev has been appointed to officiate the match between Belgian club Anderlecht and Austrian side Salzburg, which will take place in Belgium.
The 35-year-old referee will be assisted by Elshad Abdullayev and Parvin Talibov, with Nijat Ismayilli serving as the fourth official.
It should be noted that the Anderlecht–Salzburg match will kick off at 21:45 Baku time on November 5, while Celta Vigo–Union Saint-Gilloise is scheduled to begin at midnight on the night of November 5–6.
