A series of regional meetings are being held to discuss the “State Program on the Development of Agricultural, Fisheries and Aquaculture Production and Processing Sectors in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030,” approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 25, 2026, APA reports.
The meetings cover the Central Aran, Mountainous Shirvan, Ganja-Dashkasan, as well as Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions. The meetings, held on the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, will be attended by presidential assistants, heads of relevant state agencies, authorized representatives, heads of local executive authorities, farmers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders.
Within the framework of the regional meetings, discussions will focus on the main goals and priorities of the State Program, new support mechanisms envisaged in the agricultural sector, efficient use of water and land resources, development of agricultural processing and logistics infrastructure, expansion of farmers’ access to modern agricultural services, state support in this area and other issues.
Note that these meetings are being systematically organized to implement the instructions given during the meeting dedicated to agricultural issues chaired by President Ilham Aliyev on May 25, 2026, and to ensure the coordinated, prompt and effective implementation of measures envisaged in the State Program across the regions.
Regional meetings on the implementation of the State Program are also planned to be held gradually in the country’s other economic regions.
