Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met on April 14 with Interim President of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament Mircea Abrudean to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across key sectors.
The meeting underscored the dynamic growth of the Azerbaijan-Romania ties, grounded in a strategic partnership. Both officials highlighted the importance of high-level mutual visits in deepening political dialogue and fostering long-term collaboration, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.
The two sides also welcomed the continued expansion of cooperation in multiple areas, including trade, economic development, investment, the oil and gas industry, transportation, and humanitarian initiatives.
During his official visit to Azerbaijan, Abrudean toured Baku's Victory Park, a significant landmark dedicated to the country's heroic achievements.
Upon his arrival, an honor guard was formed at the park in recognition of the distinguished guest.
Abrudean laid a wreath at the Victory Monument to honor those commemorated at the site for their contributions during the nation's second Karabakh war.
A detailed briefing was provided to Abrudean, highlighting the park's creation, which stands as a tribute to the extraordinary heroism displayed by the Azerbaijani people during the war and their monumental victory. It also serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by the martyrs, who died for the nation’s freedom and territorial integrity.
