Uzbekistan has reached out to Elon Musk's company SpaceX to launch its own satellite.
This information was confirmed by the Central Asian country's Agency for Space Research and Technology (Uzbekosmos) under the Ministry of Digital Technologies, Caliber.Az reports.
The agency reported that an Uzbek delegation visited the United States and reached key agreements with the American side. “One of the most important meetings of the trip to the US was the visit to the SpaceX office in Los Angeles, which is currently a leading player in the global space market,” the statement said.
The corresponding scientific and technological satellite is expected to be assembled by young Uzbek specialists during their studies at the Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan.
SpaceX has been involved in international collaborations for the launch of satellites and other ventures, e.g with Japan, Canada, Australia, India and several South American countries.
