Ukraine has claimed that its forces destroyed a Russian S-400 air defense system in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai, as well as several other Russian air defense assets and vessels in the Black Sea.
Axar.az reports that Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, stated on his Facebook account that the S-400 position had conducted six missile launches on August 8 between 9:25 a.m. and 12:51 p.m. before being destroyed.
According to Brovdi, four additional Russian air-defense assets were destroyed overnight from August 8 to 9, all on Russian territory.
He also claimed that Ukrainian forces had struck three vessels belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet in the Black Sea — one oil tanker and two dry-cargo ships.
