Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics cuts short his holiday due to the security situation.
Axar.az reports, citing Latvian media, that President Edgars Rinkevics has cut short his annual holiday due to the security situation.
Rinkevics had been on holiday since Aug. 8, with Aug. 15 scheduled to be his final day off.

Earlier on Friday, NATO fighter jets conducting the Baltic air-policing mission shot down a drone that had entered Latvian airspace near Lake Bozeva, about five kilometres from the centre of Rugaji in Balvi Municipality.
Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said one drone had been detected, while residents may have heard the noise of fighter jets accelerating.
In June, NATO fighter jets operated by the French Air Force shot down a drone between the towns of Rezekne and Karsava. The search for its remains is ongoing.
