Azerbaijani para judoka Ilham Zakiyev has reached the final of the European Championships in Heidelberg, Germany.
Axar.az was informed by the National Paralympic Committee that Zakiyev (J1, +95 kg) faced Great Britain's Daniel English in the semifinals.
The Azerbaijani athlete defeated his opponent to advance to the final.
It should be noted that earlier, Saleh Sultanov (J1, 81 kg) won a bronze medal at the tournament.
