Vugar Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry, held a series of meetings on the sidelines of the “SAHA 2026” International Defense and Aerospace Exhibition held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The minister met with Bello Mohammed Matawalle, Nigerian Minister of State for Defence; Zaza Chkhaidze, Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defense Forces; Giacinto Ottaviani, Director of National Armaments of the Italian Ministry of Defense; Hideki Fukawa, Councilor for the Defense Equipment Cooperation Division at Japan's Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency; and Philip Stewart, Chief Operating Officer at Jones Group Europe.
The meetings focused on the current state of cooperation in the defense industry and highlighted the importance of production capabilities, technological potential, and the exchange of mutual experience.
The sides also discussed new partnership areas, the application of modern and innovative technologies, and strengthening cooperation in the field of scientific research.
