Israeli PM postpones upcoming trip to Azerbaijan, citing "developments" in Middle East

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to postpone his visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled to take place from May 7 to May 11, due to developments in the Middle East region, the Prime Minister’s Office says.

“In light of developments in the Gaza Strip and Syria, and due to a tight political and security schedule, Prime Minister Netanyahu has decided to postpone his visit to Azerbaijan to a later date,” his office says, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.

“The prime minister thanks President [Ilham] Aliyev for his invitation, and appreciates the warm relations between the two countries.”
