Russia has all the necessary forces to successfully complete the war in Ukraine without the use of nuclear weapons, regardless of how much it is provoked, said Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“They wanted to provoke us, they wanted us to make mistakes,” the head of state noted. “And there was no need to use the kind of weapons you just mentioned. I hope it won’t be necessary,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“We have enough forces and means to bring what was started in 2022 to a logical conclusion with a result that is favourable for Russia,” the president concluded.
Throughout the conflict, the issue of nuclear weapons has occasionally resurfaced. Russian officials, including Putin, have made veiled threats about nuclear capabilities, especially during moments of military or diplomatic tension. These statements have raised global concerns about escalation but have so far not led to any concrete steps toward nuclear deployment.
