A serious road accident occurred in the Turkish city of Isparta, resulting in injuries to 15 people.
The incident involved a passenger bus that overturned under yet-to-be-determined circumstances, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Emergency services, including police units and multiple ambulances, were promptly dispatched to the scene.
All injured individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Authorities have confirmed that several of the victims are in serious condition, raising concerns about potential fatalities or long-term injuries.
Local law enforcement has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary assessments are being conducted to determine whether mechanical failure, driver error, or road conditions contributed to the incident.
A similar road accident occurred near the city of Van in eastern Türkiye on May 1, where a passenger bus overturned, leaving approximately 28 people injured.
The crash took place on the Van–Bitlis highway, in the vicinity of Akdamar Island, a popular tourist area on Lake Van, Caliber.Az reports, referring to Turkish media.
Emergency responders, including ambulances, gendarmerie units, and firefighters, were promptly dispatched to the site.
Authorities reported that all injured individuals received first aid at the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals for further medical care. The extent of their injuries has not yet been officially disclosed.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
This latest incident follows a separate bus crash on April 29 in the Manavgat district of Antalya, where at least 18 Russian tourists were injured after the driver of a tour bus reportedly lost control. The vehicle overturned in a greenhouse area while en route to a hotel, with the accident occurring at approximately 08:00 local time. The injured tourists were also taken to local hospitals for treatment.
