Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will discuss joint defence projects and prospects for cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine, Syria and Palestine during an official visit to the Republic of Korea on June 4, according to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Speaking to TASS, the source said Fidan will also discuss potential cooperation in Central Asia and Africa and exchange views on the Russia–Ukraine war, Iran, Palestine, Syria, East Asia and other current regional and global developments, Caliber.Az reports.
In addition to international issues, Fidan is expected to assess existing cooperation potential in the defence industry, particularly in relation to the Altay main battle tank project, for which South Korea supplies engines.
“Systems related to UAVs and other potential joint projects are expected to be discussed. Opportunities for partnership and investment in nuclear and renewable energy will also be assessed. Joint initiatives in strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor technologies, biotechnology, next-generation battery systems and transport infrastructure will be discussed,” the source added.
