At 07:47 local time on May 1, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 was recorded in Armenia, APA reports.
The underground tremors occurred 13 km southeast of the town of Gavar in the Gegharkunik district. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km.
According to the Seismological Service, the intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone reached 3–4 points.
The earthquake was felt in several districts and villages of Armenia, as well as in the border regions of Azerbaijan.
In those settlements, the intensity of the tremors was 2–3 points.
